A Message From Our Administrator:
Hello, and welcome to Ascension Lutheran Preschool, the highest quality in early childhood education. We are a nonprofit preschool/extended childcare facility, offering a diverse, age-appropriate curriculum (specific to the needs of each child) led by a team of highly skilled educators. Our program begins with children 2 1/2 years of age, and fully "potty-trained".
It is our philosophy that children must feel loved and approved. Furthermore, we respond to the needs of children by providing a success-oriented environment in which positive words and actions encourage each child to ask questions and to make choices, to grow in self-confidence and self-control, to develop respect for himself/herself and others, and to feel a joy in and curiosity for learning.

PRESCHOOL:
Preschool classes meet 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM each day, depending on the program selected:
2 DAY PROGRAM (Monday & Tuesday OR Tuesday & Wednesday)*
3 DAY PROGRAM (Monday thru Wednesday)*
4 DAY PROGRAM (Monday thru Thursday)*
5 DAY PROGRAM (Monday thru Friday)*
*NEW* Parent's Day Out Program on Friday --- Call For Information TODAY!!
*PLEASE NOTE: Our programs are scheduled through days of succession, to ensure the highest benefits of reinforcement and continuity of routine for your child. However, in recognizing that the needs of families are varied, the office is always willing to discuss other scheduling options.
EXTENDED CHILD CARE:
Our Extended Care program offers child care before and/or after preschool classes during the following times:
7:30 AM - 9:00 AM AND/OR 11:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Extended Care is available for all students registered in our Preschool (9:00-11:30) Program. Use as little as 1/2 hour a week up to full time. Families pay only for the hours they use.
Parents are welcome to use our Extended Care Program on days that their child does not attend the 9:00 - 11:30 Preschool Program. (e.g. A parent needs care in the afternoon from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM for a Doctor's Appt.)
No advance notice is required for a child to attend Extended Care.

Our Preschool's Organization

Ascension Lutheran Preschool:
· Accepts children of all races, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, and socioeconomic status.
· Is authorized to serve 115 children per 2-½ hour class session. We are licensed for 10 toddlers, 83 preschoolers and 22 school age children per session.
· Is a nonprofit organization, governed by the Ascension Lutheran Preschool Board.
· Is staffed by professional lead teachers, assistant teachers, and a director who have met all of the qualifications necessary to serve in an early childhood center. In addition, all staff and faculty receive continuous in-service training, for professional development.
· Proudly serves children at a lower teacher-student ratio than mandated by state licensing regulations (typically 1:8 - 1:10).
